The local Catholic Church was built by my grandparents in the year1958. My ancestors were basically farmers mostly cultivating paddy, coconuts, rubber etc. Though I still continue growing these, I have chosen teaching as my major activity.

I am a post graduate in Pharmacy presently working as a professor in the Department of Pharmceutical Sciences of the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. My wife Salimma is a teacher in chemistry at the Higher Secondary level in Pulincunnoo, near to our house. We are blessed with three children, two daughters Anjaly Raisa & Amitha Eliza and the youngest a son Arun Joseph. All are students at the school level.

  Location

Location - Nelpura Heritage HomestayNelpura Heritage Homestay is located at the epicenter of Alleppey backwaters, popularly known as Kuttanad. This fabulous outskirt of Alappuzha town is a haven of peace and tranquility. Turn wheresoever, you see the resplendent glory of a pristine countryside. Vast stretches of paddy fields, and intricate network of navigable lake, lagoons, canals, and rivers fringed by coconut groves lend an ambience of unmatched freshness and serenity to this region.

Known in the past as the ‘Rice Bowl of Kerala,’ Kuttanad has now gained international reputation as a backwater tourist center attracting thousands of tourists every year. Dominated mostly by an agrarian population, Kuttanad is noted for its farming below sea level. This region is also frequented by a variety of migrating birds.
